Job Description
Applications are invited for a temporary post of a Lecturer/Assistant Professor - Wellbeing in the Curriculum within UCD School of Public Health, Physiotherapy and Sports Science (SPHPSS). Applications are invited for a Lecturer/Assistant Professor in in the University College Dublin (UCD) School of Public Health, Physiotherapy and Sports Science (SPHPSS). The post holder’s primary responsibilities will be to oversee / lead a seed funding project to embed wellbeing in the curriculum within a whole-university approach to student experience and wellbeing. This seed funding project is part of the implementation of UCD’s Strategy to 2030, which seeks to “enhance our curriculum to identify and deliver the broader set of skills and attributes needed by our graduates to stand out in an increasingly complex world”. The project is part of the broader Student Experience and Wellbeing Project being delivered through the Office of Student Experience and Wellbeing and also aligns strongly to the University’s General Education strategic initiative. Embedding wellbeing in the curriculum is a key component of the roadmap developed through UCD’s Student Mental Health and Suicide Prevention project, which aims to position UCD as sectoral leaders in student experience, wellbeing and mental health. 95 Lecturer/Asst Professor Above The Bar (7943) Salary Range: €66,055 - €104,600 per annum Pro Rata @ 0.2 FTE. Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines Closing date: 12:00 noon (local Irish time) on 17/09/2026.
