Responsibilities Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity We are currently seeking an experienced and highly organised Facilities & Services Team Leader to join the aligned professional staff services between the Faculty of Business and Faculty of Law. This is a varied and rewarding leadership role that combines people management, office administration, operational planning, reporting, project coordination, and service delivery. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the two Faculties while leading a team dedicated to delivering high-quality support services. Based primarily at the Faculty of Law on, Eden Crescent City Campus, you will work closely with stakeholders across both the Faculty of Law and the Business School. The role requires some travelling between the Business School and the Law school. Leading 2 Facility Coordinators, Reception Staff and Interns  you will provide leadership, guidance, and operational oversight to ensure an excellent experience for staff, students, and visitors. Key responsibilities include: Leading, coaching, and developing a small team to deliver outstanding customer service and operational support Managing the day-to-day delivery of administration, and facilities services Coordinating workloads, priorities, and resources to ensure service standards are met Preparing reports, presentations, professional correspondence, and operational documentation Generating and analysing information to support planning, decision-making, and continuous improvement initiatives Supporting and coordinating operational projects and service improvement activities Facilitating meetings and ensuring follow-up actions are completed Managing procurement activities, supplier relationships, and resource allocation Liaising with Property Services regarding maintenance, facilities issues, and operational requirements Building strong relationships with academic and professional staff across the University Supporting health, safety, business continuity, and operational planning activities Identifying opportunities to improve processes and enhance service delivery This is a full-time (37.5 hours per week), fixed-term position till December 2027, while a review of resourcing is undertaken. Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm. This is a Band F professional staff role with a salary range of $73,400 - $90,700 per annum, dependent on qualifications, skills, and experience.
