Responsibilities The School of Pharmacy and Medical Sciences is home to world-class researchers and teachers dedicated to advancing human health through discovery and innovation. Our programs integrate biomedical, pharmaceutical, and clinical sciences to equip graduates with the skills to transform healthcare practice. The School is also leading the integration of digital health across all programs, driving innovation in health education and research. As an Associate Lecturer (Level A) - Chemistry, you will contribute to the School’s teaching excellence and research impact. Here’s how you’ll make it matter: Lead and support undergraduate chemistry workshops and laboratory classes, particularly in organic chemistry and analytical chemistry, ensuring activities are delivered safely, effectively and in alignment with course requirements. Conduct lectures when required, under the guidance of the course convenor or relevant academic lead, and contribute to continuity of teaching across assigned chemistry courses. Prepare, facilitate and review practical and workshop teaching materials in consultation with course convenors, technical staff and relevant academic supervisors. Support high quality learning and teaching outcomes for students through active, student-centred and technology-enhanced teaching approaches, including problem-oriented and authentic learning activities in chemistry. This is a part-time (0.60 FTE), fixed-term appointment until 2 March 2029 based at Griffith University’s Gold Coast location. As Griffith University is a multi-campus institution you may be required to work at other campuses or other sites on occasion. Griffith University’s sites are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples. Salary Range The full-time equivalent base salary will be Academic Level A range $82,704 - $111,219 per annum + 17% superannuation. You will also have: Hold a degree in chemistry or a closely related discipline, with demonstrated knowledge and capability in organic chemistry and analytical chemistry. Prior experience supporting or delivering chemistry teaching in a higher education setting, including workshops, laboratory classes and technology-enhanced learning, is desirable. Commitment to integrating technology-enhanced and student-centred learning approaches.
