The Wellness Support Advisor provides part-time support to rural medical students in Port Macquarie, NSW, focusing on their social, emotional, health, and wellbeing needs through assessment and short-term therapy. Key Responsibilities
- The Wellness Support Advisor, Rural provides support for rural students with social, emotional, health and wellbeing needs through triage, assessment and short solutions-based therapy.
- The position holder works closely with the Faculty Wellbeing Officer and senior academic and professional staff at local Rural Clinical Campus sites, as well as local services such as the Rural Adversity Mental Health Program (RAMPH) and other health professionals.
- The role will liaise regularly with UNSW Central Services such as Mental Health Connect, Psychology and Wellness, Equitable Learning Service and Student Support Team, as well as the UNSW Medicine and Health community.
- This position holder has a critical role in supporting students through a positive approach to wellbeing that enhances the student experience.
- In collaboration with the Manager, Rural, the position holder will develop a work schedule to ensure on-campus availability between Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday each week at the identified campus and attend Coffs Harbour campus to support our student cohorts, as agreed with supervisor and at other times as required.
- The position reports to the Manager, Rural and has no direct reports.

About This Position
What does this position pay?
The advertised salary for this role is AUD 118,483 – 118,483, plus 17% employer superannuation. The final offer within the band depends on qualifications and experience, as set by University of New South Wales's enterprise agreement.
