University Assistant postdoctoral

The University of Vienna seeks a postdoctoral University Assistant in modern archaeology (19th-21st centuries) to develop independent research projects, contribute to teaching and administration, and secure third-party funding. Applicants must hold a relevant doctorate and have knowledge of modern archaeology, with proficiency in German (B2) and English (C1) required. Experience in image-based modeling or GIS is a plus.

• Contract duration : The start date will be 1 February 2027 at the earliest. The contract term is six years.
• Fair salary : The monthly gross salary is 5079,50 € (14x/year). Prior experience can be taken into account.
