About the area College Services provides academic administration and technical support services across the University, helping schools, researchers and students achieve outstanding teaching and research outcomes. Within College Services, Technical Services delivers specialised technical expertise, operational support and safe systems of work across laboratories, fieldwork, workshops, equipment management and research environments. The Safety and Operations team provides practical specialist safety services that support UWA's research and teaching facilities. Working across a diverse and complex operational environment, the team plays a critical role in maintaining safe, compliant and efficient facilities that underpin University activities. About the opportunity Support the day-to-day operation of the Dangerous Goods and Hazardous Substances Store, including procurement, inventory management and stock control of chemical and hazardous materials. Coordinate the compliant disposal of chemical waste and maintain accurate records, inventories and documentation to meet regulatory requirements. Contribute to a strong safety culture by supporting safe systems of work, store operations, audits, licensing requirements and continuous improvement initiatives. About you Relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrated equivalent competency. Substantial relevant technical experience at an appropriate level. Experience in implementing a range of policies and procedures to support safe operations of the dangerous goods and hazardous substances store. Highly developed written and verbal communication skills. Highly developed organisational skills and demonstrated ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
