Student Success Coach

The University of Surrey seeks a Student Success Coach to proactively support students' academic, personal, and professional development through personalized coaching, group sessions, and early intervention. Key responsibilities include fostering student belonging, engagement, and progression, requiring strong communication, empathy, and data interpretation skills. An Enhanced DBS check is mandatory for this full-time, on-site role during semesters.

• The Student Success Coach plays a central role in fostering student engagement, wellbeing, and academic progression across the student lifecycle.
• Working closely with academic colleagues and specialist support services, the post holder will provide proactive, personalised, and data-informed support to help students thrive, overcome challenges, and successfully progress through their programme.
• The role combines 1:1 coaching, group support, early-intervention outreach, and ongoing case management to strengthen student belonging, attainment, and retention.
• We have positions open on both a permanent basis and fixed-term basis (until February 2028). All positions are full-time
• part-time is not available. The role requires staff to be on site during semester time as the post holders will be delivering group coaching and 1:1 appointments as well as delivering the student success module as part of the taught curriculum. Hybrid working will be available through vacation periods.
