Job Description
The University of Bath is seeking a Sous Chef for its Campus Services catering team. Key responsibilities include deputizing for the Head Chef, leading kitchen staff, preparing high-quality food for various events, and managing stock and food safety. Key Responsibilities
- This role is eligible for the Campus Services New Starter Bonus* (£1,000) and Campus Services Refer a Friend bonus*.
Requirements
- You will be an experienced chef with strong kitchen management and leadership skills, ideally with experience in a high-volume catering environment.
- You will have a relevant Level 3 qualification (or equivalent), good knowledge of Food Safety/HACCP, and the ability to lead a team, work under pressure and deliver consistently high standards.
- Experience of menu development, costing, stock management and staff training would be an advantage.
- This is a permanent, full-time role of 36.5 hours per week, working 5 days over 7, with flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.
