Useful Links Creating a Harmonious Campus Emergency Contacts and Useful Telephone Numbers Professional Personal Consultation Service Printable Version Senior Teaching Fellow/Teaching Fellow/Instructor I/II in the Department of Biostatistics [Ref.: R/274/26] Duties Teach Biostatistics and related disciplines at postgraduate level; Prepare and update course materials, and conduct lectures, tutorials, assessments; Undertake teaching-related duties, including course administration and curriculum enhancement activities; Provide academic support, advising and guidance to postgraduate students; Supervise postgraduate student’s projects and dissertations; Participate in professional activities to enhance teaching effectiveness and student learning experience; Perform administrative and other duties as assigned. Requirements A PhD degree in Biostatistics/Statistics, or related disciplines, preferably with relevant teaching experience in Biostatistics and/or Statistics at the university level. Candidates should possess an excellent command of written and spoken English, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Candidates for Senior Teaching Fellow should have substantial professional experience, expertise and recognisable achievements in non-academic settings (prerequisite requirement); and a higher degree with distinguished record of teaching and administration, contribution to instructional development, with demonstrated experience and accomplishment in curriculum planning and student supervision. Candidates for Teaching Fellow should have relevant professional experience and expertise in non-academic settings (prerequisite requirement), a higher degree with experience in teaching and administration. Candidates for Instructor I should have a recognised degree plus postgraduate qualification and 4 years’ appropriate postgraduate full-time teaching experience. Candidates with less relevant experience may be considered for appointment as Instructor II . Salary and Conditions of Service Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes. Key Responsibilities
- Teach Biostatistics and related disciplines at postgraduate level
- Prepare and update course materials, and conduct lectures, tutorials, assessments
- Undertake teaching-related duties, including course administration and curriculum enhancement activities

Requirements
