Security Agent (Casual)

This is a casual, in-person Security Agent position responsible for detecting and reporting incidents to ensure the safety and security of persons and property across multiple university campuses. Key requirements include a valid Alberta security license, Intermediate First Aid/CPR, strong communication skills, and a valid driver's license with a clean abstract. The role involves providing a visible presence in various university buildings and responding to emergencies.

• This position provides a presence at North Campus, South Campus, Campus Saint-Jean and Augustana Campus that includes but is not limited to: libraries, residences and administrative buildings.
• This position will be casual, with shifts posted weekly and employees responsible for picking up available shifts based on their availability.
• Must be able to provide a recent copy of a three-year driver’s abstract with no more than six (6) demerits and/or two (2) moving violations within the last two years

• internal applicants will be given priority consideration based on minimum qualifications, or a combination of experience, skills, and abilities before external applicants are considered.
• Reporting to the Security Coordinator and as required, to the on-duty Patrol Services Division Sergeants, the Security Agent is the “eyes and ears” of the University community.
• Occasional call-out for assistance with access control or a critical incident is also required
