Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct experimental work on thermal waste treatment technologies (pyrolysis, carbon capture, solid carbon and hydrogen generation).
  • Design, procure, install and operate experimental prototypes
  • Investigate performance of catalysts, system configuration and process conditions that influence the yield and quality of outputs from waste
  • Develop improvements in catalyst formulation and system design to mitigate the factors decreasing quality and yield of outputs
  • Characterize samples and interpret the results (N2 adsorption, Raman, FESEM, TEM, XPS, XRD, TGA, TPO, TPR, GC-MS, etc.)
  • Liaise with project collaborators
  • Publish research papers and document developed intellectual property.
  • Report the progress to stakeholders (internal and external).

Requirements

  • We regret to inform that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • PhD qualification degree in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Environmental Engineering/Science or related field.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experiences in relevant role / technical hands-on experience in pyrolysis, carbon capture, solid carbon and hydrogen generation.
  • Familiarity with analytical techniques for solid/liquid characterization.
  • Proficiency in design of experiments, interpretation of experimental results, writing papers/reports.
