This is a fixed-term, full-time opportunity for a researcher ready to contribute both at the bench and behind the scenes. The Role You will lead day-to-day laboratory operations while maintaining an active research contribution within the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology team. Your responsibilities will include: Managing laboratory workflows, equipment maintenance, consumables, and compliance with safety and ethics requirements Contributing to experimental design, data collection, and analysis in support of active research projects Supervising and supporting research students and staff in laboratory techniques and protocols Coordinating onboarding of new laboratory members and maintaining standard operating procedures What You Bring A PhD in immunology, or a closely related discipline Demonstrated hands-on experience with immunology, molecular and cellular techniques, including flow cytometry Proven ability to manage a research laboratory environment, including WHS obligations Experience mentoring or supervising HDR students or research assistants Familiarity with grant reporting processes and research data management A track record of peer-reviewed publication commensurate with career stage Why This Role This position offers the rare combination of sustained research engagement and operational leadership within one of Australia's leading biochemistry departments.
