Job Description
This is a leave replacement Program Manager position within UBC's Faculty of Medicine, responsible for developing innovative education programs and leading complex projects for continuing professional development. Key duties include managing project lifecycles, overseeing program design and delivery, engaging stakeholders, and managing budgets and staff. Applicants need a Master's degree in Education and at least six years of related experience.

- Demonstrated experience in educational programming.
- Demonstrated knowledge of effective instructional design.
- Formal training in project management is an asset.
- Formal training in program evaluation an asset.
- Effective interpersonal and organizational skills , with a demonstrated ability to successfully manage complex projects and programs .
- Ability to identify, obtain, and effectively manage organizational resources (e.g., people, materials, assets, budgets).
- Ability to effectively source and recruit candidates.
- Ability to manage staff performance by establishing standards and goals, evaluating performance, providing feedback, and taking corrective action.
- Ability to approach interactions with an awareness of sensitive issues. (e.g., issues concerning specific cultures)
- Ability to explain, assign, and monitor work.
- Ability to connect with physicians and other health care professionals.
- Ability to effectively use computer programs at an intermediate level.
- Demonstrated knowledge and expertise of information technologies and communications tools.
