Postdoctoral researcher in fly neuroscience and robotics

This postdoctoral position focuses on reverse-engineering insect limb motor control for bioinspired robotics through neural recordings in behaving flies and computational analysis. Key responsibilities include analyzing data, publishing results, and potentially developing neuromechanical simulations or robots. Applicants need a PhD, strong computational and analytical skills, and a publication record, with a passion for exploring new research domains.

• Working on a ERC funded project aiming to reverse-engineer insect limb motor control for bioinspired robotics. The precise research topic(s) will be discussed with the successful candidate depending on their background, expertise and affinities
• Analysis and publication of results
• Build a strong network in the field of research
• Participate in education, and PhD and master student supervision
• PhD (or nearing completion of)
• Background in experimental neuroscience, computational neuroscience, and/or robotics
• Strong computational and analytical skills
• Strong publication record (relative to your career stage)
