Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a Network Engineer to join the Network team in Te Tai Matihiko - Digital Solutions on a fixed-term, full-time contract until 18 December 2026. Ō pūmanawa - About you We are looking for a candidate with experience in the support of a medium to large scale service provider environment supporting 20,000+ network attached devices and 24/7 service availability. The ideal candidate should have experience across a wide range of technologies with in-depth technical knowledge while at the same time understand the bigger picture with a strong customer focused work ethic. We’re looking for someone who has: Strong background in the support and troubleshooting medium to large Cisco routed and switched networks including wireless technologies and SDA. Even though you are technical well versed in multiple fields, you like to keep on learning and expanding your technical knowledge. You are a team player and like to share knowledge. Experience with network hardware installations, well familiar with cabling standards, patching of desktop devices and wireless access points. Experience with Agile Methodology.
