Network Engineer (inc. Data Centre Operations)

This Network Engineer role focuses on deploying and maintaining the university's campus network and data centre infrastructure, including thousands of devices and multiple data centres. Key responsibilities involve leading operational activities in the data centres, providing technical guidance, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. Essential requirements include a strong understanding of network technology and data centre operations, project experience, and analytical skills, with a Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience.

• Deploying and maintaining our campus-wide network and data centre infrastructure
• Working closely with other teams in IT Services and from across the wider University
• Developing and nurturing relationships with strategic external delivery partners
• Leading on the operational activities in our campus data centres
• Providing technical guidance and advice to colleagues and stakeholders.
• Maintaining accurate documentation, standards and operational processes.
