Within this broader mission, NTU Libraries , under the Office of Information, Knowledge and Library Services (OIKLS) , provide essential learning, research, and collaborative environments that support the University community. We are seeking an experienced and forward-looking Librarian / Senior Assistant Manager to shape user-centred library services, drive service innovation, and enhance physical and hybrid library environments across NTU. This is an exciting opportunity to make visible impact on how students, faculty, and researchers experience library spaces and services. The role combines leadership in operations, user experience, space transformation, and continuous improvement, offering the chance to contribute meaningfully to NTU’s teaching, learning, and research mission. Key responsibilities Lead and enhance library operations and service delivery across key user touchpoints, driving improvements in service quality, consistency, and user experience. Shape and deliver space transformation and user experience initiatives that support evolving patterns of learning, collaboration, discovery, and wellbeing. Lead service innovation and continuous improvement efforts informed by user feedback, operational insights, and emerging trends. Develop and guide staff and student assistants to support operational readiness, service excellence, and the effective implementation of change. Requirements A bachelor’s degree in any discipline; a postgraduate qualification in library and information studies or a related field will be preferred. At least 5 years of relevant experience in academic, research, public, or other service-oriented environments, including supervisory experience. Experience in operations, user-facing services, service improvement, project leadership, or change implementation. Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, analytical, and people management skills.
