This academic position is for a faculty member in Statistics for Omics. Key Responsibilities
- Lead an independent, high impact research programme in statistical methods for high dimensional omics and related data.
- Publish in leading statistics and computational biology venues, and actively seek competitive external research funding.
- Design and deliver engaging undergraduate and postgraduate subjects in statistics, data science, and applied mathematics.
- Supervise and mentor honours, MSc and PhD students, supporting their development as independent researchers.
- Contribute to School, Faculty and MIG leadership, governance, outreach and engagement activities.

- Hold a PhD or equivalent in statistics or a closely related quantitative discipline.
- Bring a strong publication record in statistical methodology or computational biology, relative to career stage.
- Develop novel statistical methods for high dimensional or complex biological data, including genomics or transcriptomics.
- Demonstrate success securing competitive research funding and building national or international collaborations.
- Excel in designing and teaching statistics or data science subjects at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
