Job Description

Gym Supervisor Surrey Sports Park is at the heart of sport and physical activity in Surrey, and our mission is to deliver the best possible sport, health and wellbeing experience to our University of Surrey students and to the wider SSP community. The role As Gym Supervisor, you will provide visible day-to-day leadership and operational support across the gym floor, helping to create a safe, clean, welcoming and customer-focused environment for members, students, staff and visitors. Reporting to the Active Facilities Manager, you will help maintain gym floor standards, support fitness team activity, assist with member engagement and retention, oversee inductions and programmes, and act as a key point of contact for customers and colleagues during operational hours. You will also support health and safety checks, respond to feedback and enquiries, contribute to service improvements and help ensure gym operations are delivered professionally and consistently in line with Surrey Sports Park values. About you We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused fitness professional with experience working in a gym or fitness environment and the confidence to support and supervise others. You will hold a recognised Level 2 or Level 3 fitness qualification, or equivalent, and have a good understanding of gym operations, customer service and health and safety requirements. You will be approachable, organised and proactive, with strong communication skills and the ability to work independently while supporting a wider team. Experience in a large, multi-user gym or leisure environment would be helpful, as would the ability to work flexibly across early mornings, evenings and weekends. Key Responsibilities
