Full/Associate/Assistant Professor in AI for Biomolecular Design

The University of Macau seeks a Full/Associate/Assistant Professor in AI for Biomolecular Design to join its new Department of Biological Sciences. Key responsibilities include teaching, curriculum development, and establishing an internationally competitive research program leveraging computational and AI technologies for biological questions. Applicants must hold a PhD in a related field, demonstrate a strong publication record, and possess the ability to lead an impactful research program.

• Applicants should hold a PhD in disciplines closely related to the areas specified above, preferably with a strong background in AI for Biomolecular Design.
• The successful candidate is expected to demonstrate a strong publication record, the ability to establish and lead an impactful research program addressing significant biological questions, a commitment to high-quality teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and active contribution to the development and growth of the Department and Faculty.
• The selected candidate is expected to assume duty in Fall 2026 or Spring 2027.
• A taxable annual remuneration starting from MOP1,250,200 (approximately USD154,350) for the position of Full Professor, MOP1,052,800 (approximately USD129,980) for the position of Associate Professor and MOP855,400 (approximately USD105,600) for the position of Assistant Professor will be commensurate with the successful applicants’ academic qualification and relevant professional experience.
• The current local maximum income tax rate is 12% but is effectively around 5% - 7% after various discretionary exemptions.
