Requirements
- A Ph.D. with first class or equivalent in the preceding degree, and an excellent academic record throughout
- Assistant Professor Grade I: at least three years of post-Ph.D. teaching, research or professional experience, plus a good publication record
- Assistant Professor Grade II: everything required for Grade I except the three years of post-Ph.D. experience
- you move to Grade I once you meet it
- Associate Professor: at least six years of post-Ph.D. experience, three of them at Assistant Professor Grade I level or equivalent
- Professor: at least ten years of post-Ph.D. experience, four of them at Associate Professor level or equivalent
- IDC School of Design has its own criteria, including a route for candidates without a Ph.D.
- Reservation follows Government of India rules. Women and applicants from under-represented groups are encouraged to apply. If you apply to more than one academic unit, you need a separate application for each. Candidates who applied in the last two years may highlight how their CV has improved since.
