Job Description
This in-person position is for an Electrical Utilities Electrician responsible for operating and servicing a complex high voltage distribution system (13.8kV and 4.16kV) across various University properties. Key responsibilities include safe and reliable operation of the 15kV network and providing electrical services to other utility departments. Requirements include a Grade 12 education and an Alberta First Class Journeyman Certificate in the electrical trade.

- Alberta First Class Journeyman Certificate in the electrical trade.
- Protective Relay training
- Electrical Code upgrading
- Technical seminars for new equipment
- Confined Space Entry Training
- Programmable Logic Controller Training
- Certificate in Scaffold Building and Inspections
- Training in HV electrical Cable Splicing and terminations
- Training in Use of Scott Air Packs
- Power Systems Electrician’s Certificate an asset
- Fall Arrest Training + Arial Work Platform
