With a strong presence at UNSW Kensington campus, the faculty have staff and students in teaching hospitals in Sydney as well as regional and rural areas of NSW including Albury/Wodonga, Wagga Wagga, Coffs Harbour and Port Macquarie. Details of the role A Clinical Teaching Support Officer plays a key role in coordinating clinical teaching within UNSW Medicine & Health and relevant Clinical Campus / Clinical Discipline(s). This is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of high-quality clinical education across General Practice and the broader School of Clinical Medicine. Working closely with academic leaders, clinicians, teaching staff and key stakeholders, you will coordinate teaching activities, assessments and learning resources that enable outstanding student experiences. You will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, support innovative teaching approaches including online learning, and help ensure the smooth delivery of clinical education programs. The role reports to Clinical Teaching Support Manager, School of Clinical Medicine and has direct reports. Some key skills required: Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training and experience. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and productively within a team, but also to take initiative and work independently while managing competing demands. Highly advanced interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated experience providing effective customer service and support to clients at all levels. Excellent time management skills, with a demonstrated ability to respond to changing priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines by using judgement and initiative. High proficiency of computer literacy, working with a range of computer systems and applications, including Microsoft Office 365 suite including Teams, One Drive and Outlook and with eMed and using UNSW’s enterprise systems and Learning Management Systems. Coordinate logistical aspects of clinical teaching, including scheduling teachers, room resources, timetables, results for clinical campus or discipline. Work collaboratively with Clinical Teaching Unit Directors, Discipline Education Directors, Clinical Campus Manager, teaching academics and key hospital staff to organise and coordinate clinical teaching.
