Business Analyst

This is a 2-year hybrid Business Analyst position focused on driving complex business transformation and process improvement initiatives across the university. Key responsibilities include leading mid-to-large scale change projects, collaborating with various campus partners, and influencing stakeholders towards innovation. Requirements include a relevant diploma/degree, at least 5 years of progressive BA/systems analyst experience, IIBA certification, and strong analytical and change management skills.

• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills for leading effective teams, and are able to put forth ideas (written, verbal, and presentations) confidently to stakeholders and senior leadership.
• Reporting to the Manager, Business Transformation within the Office of Strategic Transformation and Delivery (OSTAD), the Business Analyst plays a key role in complex business transformation, business process re-engineering, and continuous improvement initiatives across the University.
• The Business Analyst is responsible for proactively meeting and exceeding the diverse needs of the University community.
• This position works collaboratively with campus partners in the Student Service Centre, Office of the Registrar, Colleges, Faculties, Centres of Expertise, Dean of Students, University of Alberta International, Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research, Students and external partners across campus to lead mid to large scale process changes and transformation initiatives.
• The Business Analyst exercises autonomy and demonstrates leadership to team members within projects.
• Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools. Proven organizational change management skills.

• Related post-secondary diploma or degree in Business Administration, Computing Science, Management Information Systems or a related field.
