Responsibilities The EmpowerED University Preparation Program increases access for, and participation of a diverse range of students, particularly those from underrepresented groups such as low socioeconomic backgrounds, regional and remote areas, and First Nations students. Moreover, EmpowerED provides an alternative pathway to undergraduate study at Griffith and increases student retention and success in their degrees. Key Responsibilities Reporting to the Director, EmpowerED, you will contribute to the teaching efforts of the EmpowerED team. You will be experienced in teaching maths and science and innovations, at a level equivalent to year 11 and 12, as well general foundation studies supporting transition to university. Play a pivotal role in supporting students in this pathway program to develop academic skills and confidence in readiness for success in their future undergraduate studies. Lead and contribute to student success through enhanced and targeted student retention initiatives. Implement innovative teaching methods that empower students and create an inclusive, engaging learning environment. About you Relevant tertiary education qualifications with at least honours or higher or equivalent professional education and experience. Experience teaching in high school or enabling programs, particularly within maths and science. Candidates must have Australian work rights and may be subject to a National criminal history check. Sponsorship is not offered for this position. What we can offer This is a full-time fixed term appointment until 31/12/2027 and will be based at Griffith University Logan. As Griffith is a multi-site University you may be required to work across other locations. The full-time equivalent base salary will be Academic Level A range $82,704 - $111,219 per annum + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $96,764 - $130,126 per annum.
